Shawbridge Management Ltd
Shawbridge is the investment arm of Sir Alan Cockshaw. Sir Alan is a former Chairman and Chief Executive of AMEC Plc. The property development function within AMEC – AMEC Developments Ltd was a pioneer in public private regeneration partnerships with examples being Moss Side and Hulme Re-generation in Manchester where Sir Alan chaired the joint venture company with Manchester City Council. Sir Alan is also a former Chairman of English Partnerships and former President of the Institution of Civil Engineers. Following the 1996 city centre bombing in Manchester, Sir Alan chaired Manchester Millennium Ltd, which led the design and redevelopment process. Sir Alan continues to pursue a range of business interests, both in the UK and in Asia.
